Cosmohnuts

"A long time ago, cosmonauts managed to germinate peas in floating greenhouses. With the overpopulation of the Earth, it became crucial to optimize the productivity of these terrestrial greenhouses. For this purpose, the farmers of Elektrozova were sent as guinea pigs to colonize virgin planets located in outer space. Over the decades, the space farmers started to families with one other, and each island turned into small communities on the margins of everything, made up of degenerates, alcoholics and rednecks. Due to the shortage of resources, these families are now back on earth to seek out the wealth promised to every newcomer in Clint City!"

Bonus[]

Tune Out: When a Tune Out card is played, the Attack calculation is ignored, and the winner of the round is the player who bet the most Pillz. In a case of a tie in Pillz, the two cards are decided in the same way as for a tie in Attack.

Trivia[]

  • Their name comes from the words 'Cosmo', 'Cosmonaut', ' being nuts', and 'Hunt', being a mix-up from all these words.
  • The clan is based off of the so-called "Rednecks", a derogative term used to describe people mainly from the south of the United States, often used synonymously for being alcoholic, unintelligent and suffering from bad hygiene, being in bad overall physical shape. Oftentimes, they were farmers and/or lived as families on their own properties, fitting the background of the clan as families having farms.
    • Fitting with this, many of the clan members fit into the description by being alcoholic, unemployed, having bad hygiene and having low intelligence.
    • Despite the reference the word 'redneck' itself is rarely mentioned, due to the game being from France, which uses the word 'farmer' instead.
  • The Cosmohnuts' finishing animation in UR World has the opponent´s card struck by a vehicle and receiving three hits until it disappears with tire mark traces being left behind.
  • The clan could also be based off of the farmers from Butcher Creek from the famous game, Red Dead Redemption 2, with the clan members looking, behaving and living similarly to the people from Butcher Creek.
  • They are the second clan to be the direct result of colonization, with fellow Psychos clan the Raptors being the other. But unlike the Raptors they were test subjects to the Sunshade Corp.
  • Their colors are rust-red, green-yellow, and black.
  • Their logo is an alien with a rust-red mullet over a black tire.
    • The mullet used in the logo looks like they're leader Radden, making it the third known instance of a clan leader looking like the clan's logo with the HIVE and Freaks being the others.
    • Ironically, their clan is directly hating and attacking aliens, making the alien head inside the tire as an ironic choice.
  • They're the first clan to be from Elektrozova (albeit expatriated).
    • They are one of four clans that wasn't native to Clint City, with GhosTown, Oblivion, and Zenith being the others.
  • Their secondary bio reads: 'With us, no Power, no Attack, no headaches! This is the law in Elektrozova, you’ve gotta pillz-up to win! That means that with just one more Pillz, you can beat anyone, yep! But with one less Pillz, well... it sucks as much as those damn aliens. Do you understand?'
  • They are enemies with the Sakrohm, hence their bonus canceling the Sak's bonus. Reasons why the Cosmohnuts hate the Saks is currently unknown.
    • Ironically, their name is partially shared with Sakrohm member Cosmos.
    • This is a literal pun on illegal aliens; but it is also unknown how they view aliens within the Psycho's faction (such as Annunaki Cr) or human-like aliens (such as Lois Ld).
  • Austin's bio reveals that he was the person responsible for the Clan's repatriation into Clint City.

Advantages and Disadvantages[]

Advantages[]

  • Their biggest strength is their bonus with which they can defeat clans with manipulation of attacks or power, for example Dominion or Hive.
  • Additionally, they can defeat powerful cards with abilities that manipulate attack and/or power, for example Saitamurai or Demonink.
  • They best match with Solomon, who then gain the advantage with his ability tiebreaker against cards with high power.
  • Their abilities are mostly defensive as they have abilities with damage, Pillz and life manipulations as well as other conditions, like Equalizer.
  • Due to the nature of their bonus, they have above average max base power (clan average 6).
  • They can be paired up in half decks with Vortex, Riots, and Komboka, supplementing more pillz to you.

Disadvantages[]

  • As their bonus is strictly countering Manipulation of Power and Attack, they will probably not have any power and/or attack manipulations.
  • They are very vulnerable to Stop Opp. Bonus cards and Piranas and Nightmare, as it disables their Bonus, leaving them to raw stats fights.
  • They are also at a bigger disadvantage against clans and characters who can increase Pillz, for example Vortex or Riots.
  • As they heavily rely on their Bonus, they lose their fights should the player have less Pillz, making them highly invulnerable to Pillz reduction.
