- He is based off of Glob, a mutant from the Marvel comics, whose skin is also transparent and consists of bio-paraffin (living wax).
- He is Dado Tronic's first Freaks card.
- His name is a play on the word 'friend' and the name Brendan.
- He is one of the few cards to have a different background, and even fewer that changes between levels.
- Though his disorder wasn't named at the time Frenden was released, it was later revealed in Twistery bio that his disorder was named Dermatotranslucentia.
