Background[]

Everyone knows that Houtay the llama has got a bit of a screw loose. His odd way of behaving like he's always at the Rio Alto carnival and his obsession with confetti and streamers all combine to make him slightly "unusual". Every evening, he drags innocent passers-by away from their business, and forces them to take part in Los Santos style fiestas. In the early hours, it's not at all unusual to find disheveled heaps of his victims, sleeping it off on a park bench.

Missions[]

  • Samba de Rio Alto: Gain 20 Life Points with Houtay

Advantages & Disadvantages[]

Advantages:

  • His base power is 8, which is good for a 3*.
  • His base damage is 3, but becomes 5 with fury, allowing you to 2HKO with other members of Jungo.
  • His ability reduces his opponent's damage by two, which helps in case you are in danger of being KO'ed.
  • The minimum for his ability is two, which is low.
  • The clan bonus increases your life by two if you win with him.

Disadvantages:

  • His base damage is 3, which is low for a 3*.
  • His ability is Courage-based, meaning you only get two chances to activate it. It also makes him predictable.
  • He is weak against damage reduction.
  • His main weakness are cards, like: Yayoi, Yookie, and Bristone, who not only reduce his damage, but also cancel out his ability.
  • He has competition from the other 3* in Jungo.

Trivia[]

  • His bio is a nod to Carnival, a festival in Rio de Janero that is held at the end of the summer in Brazil.
  • His name comes from "Lamaoutai", a parody of the song "Papaoutai" (a song of the Belgian singer Stromae). The parody "Lamaoutai" is also based on Serge the Llama.
  • His name sounds similar to the word 'party', in which he's a literal party animal.
  • His intro mission could be based off of the video game, "Samba de Amigo."
