Intro[]

A Meteora character is a clan-specific card which can only be obtained through special offers, promotions, missions or adventures or on the market or temporary from NB packs.

They were first introduced with a bunch of 4 cards and have a special render in game, differentiating them from other cards. Each clan is set to have 1 specific Meteora card.

They are easily distinguishable in game from other cards due to their cards featuring green shaders and glowing green.

Trivia[]

  • They were first teased in AnomAlien's bio in which the meteors were first shown as part of its levels.
  • Each Meteora card is categorized as the Mascot of the respective clan it is part of and is strictly labelled as such.
  • The Meteora cards each represent an animal when they evolve from meteor to their final form.
    • Their trait of evolving from an "egg-like" state through animal form into a dull developed human-like creature is taken off of the scientific concept of Evolution, in it is the change in heritable characteristics of biological populations over successive generations.
      • Each level of the Meteora cards shares similarities to the evolution system from the Pokemón Franchise, in which a Pokemón typically hatches from an egg (level 1) into its more baby-like state (level 2) and then into its fully evolved form (level 3).
      • Despite coming from eggs almost all of the animals depicted are animals that don't lay eggs as they are mammals and incapable of laying eggs.
        • The exception here being:
          1. Aquiline, Corvine, Strixine and Korakine who are based on birds.
          2. Sauropsite, Chelonite, Draconine, Viperine who are based on reptiles and dragons (Draconine)
          3. Exobionite, who is based on an alien (Aliens could potentially lay eggs)
          4. Lucanine and Vespine, who are based on insects, specifically a Scarab Beetle and a Wasp respectively.
  • In each of their 1st form (egg-state), they all have dots and spots on the egg which are usually in the colors of the clan they belong to.
  • Interestingly so far, all their names end on either "ite" or "ine", with the first part of their name in relation to the animal they represent.
  • Each of Meteora cards were discovered by the first-wave Ld's.
    • Additionally, Obyl Ld's first 2 artworks featured a Meteora egg (though not revealed at this time).
    • Lucanine is the only known Meteora to not be directly discovered by their first LD, instead he was discovered by Enigma, but was stolen by Dragostini Ld.
  • All of the Meteora cards are drawn by MattMoro.
    • In fact, some of the Meteora were the first cards drawn by him (such as Leonite being MattMoro's first All Stars card).
  • Currently almost all of the Meteora cards, except for Felinite and Vespine are male or non-binary.
  • All the Meteora are 3 stars, but they are the only cards (albeit within 12 hours upon release) to be 1 star.
  • With the exceptions of the Rabbit, Sheep, Tiger, and Rooster, eight different Meteoras have represented the Chinese Zodiac, in some way.
    • Cynosine: Dog (though shared with the La Junta and Rescue Meteora's)
    • Taurite: Ox
    • Musardine: Rat
    • Draconine: Dragon
    • Caballine: Horse
    • Simeine: Monkey
    • Viperine: Snake
    • Porcusite: Pig
